Enjoy the pristine crystal clear water of Heart Lake! Whether you choose to swim or float, or get out on the water, there is plenty to do right from your doorstep!

Fire pit (split firewood provided)
BBQ grills: both propane and charcoal grills are available in common areas (propane provided, but you will need to bring your own charcoal)
Heart Lake WATER SPORTS:
Heart Lake is an All Sports lake. There is no wake in the northwest bay where Heart Lake Cottages is located. However, the reminder of the lake is open for watersports (outside of the no wake hours of 7:30 PM to 10:00 AM).
Pontoon boats are available for rent from Northern Sports here in Gaylord. They will deliver and pick up right from the dock at Heart Lake Cottages. Northern Sports http://northernsportssalesservice.com/ 989-448-2014
Heart Lake FISHING:
Heart Lake is located in Otsego County, Michigan. This lake is 62 acres in size. It is approximately 117 feet deep at its deepest point. Anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Bluegill, Hybrid Trout, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rock Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Splake and Yellow Perch. The Michigan DNR releases 4,000 rainbow trout annually in Heart Lake. (fishing licenses are available online or at many local stores).
Heart Lake Cottages is the ideal northern Michigan location for snowmobiling! Located right across the street from Trail 7, we offer door to trail riding with instant access to Michigan’s 6,300 miles of snowmobile trails!
We have ample trailer parking, and a work area in the pole barn should you need a warm dry area to work on your sled…and get right back out on the trail!
Heart Lake Cottages is the perfect spot for your snowmobile group of 38 or less!
